***If you are registering your child with the team, please be aware there is a known issue with the US Lacrosse Membership page, preventing the registration process from finishing. We will waive any late fees Friday, January 3** (posted Dec 31 10am)
Spring 2020 registration will commence in October with "on-line registration". Registration will close on Jan 31 2020 with a late fee after 12/31/19. Parents will complete the registration process through our web site, www.timberlaneyouthlacrosse.org.
Timberlane Youth Lacrosse plans to field boys & girls teams at the following levels (will depend on registration numbers):
- K thru 2nd grade – 8U,
- 3rd & 4th Grade -10U
- 5th & 6th Grade - 12U
- 7th & 8th Grade - 14U.
The TYL teams will begin to practice outdoors, weather permitting, late March or early April 2020. Players will be placed by the grade level. We are always in need of coaches and if we are unable to secure coaches we will not be able to field a team. TYL will provide training to all new and returning coaches in March 2020. Teams will only be submitted if coaches are available.
8U, 10U, 12U and 14U boys & girls teams will play in the New Hampshire Youth Lacrosse Association (NHYLA) league and play games Sundays against other NHYLA towns. Typically there will be 4 away games and 4 home games in league play. The season ends with a two day NHYLA festival where teams play on either Saturday or Sunday on the 2nd weekend of June. Games may be played on either day depending upon brackets.
The season begins indoors in March at an indoor facility (location to be determined). We move outdoors in April when the snow clears and the fields dry. Towns will approve release of the fields to sports programs when the fields are dry enough.
Practices days depend on age group. Practices are held in Plaistow (TRMS) or Atkinson East Road Fields (Collins Park). Times are dependent on coach availability, typically most start at 5:45.
Parents are responsible for acquiring the necessary lacrosse equipment. Please see the "Lacrosse Gear" page for an overview. Only US Lacrosse approved equipment will be allowed for play.
